With over 30 years of breeding selection in Brazil, VPJ Pecuária has built a benchmark history, overcoming tropical climate challenges through a rigorous selection process focused on rustic adaptation and efficiency. Around 15 years ago, the farm sourced genetic lines from Texas (USA) resistant to extreme heat, establishing a stabilized herd in which 90% of the animals are registered with the American Angus Association and compete in U.S. trials with Brazil-born bulls.

Recognized as the first operation in São Paulo to achieve this level of genetic merit, VPJ combines a focus on marbling, carcass conformation, and high performance, supplying bulls to the country's leading AI stations. A pioneer in the massive use of reproductive technologies such as IATF (Fixed-Time Artificial Insemination) and in crossbreeding with Nelore since the 1990s, the company structured a pioneering "farm to plate" vertical integration model.

Driven by market opportunities in the 2000s, VPJ expanded its operations from breeding and feedlot finishing to the boning, packaging, and distribution industries, consolidating the VPJ Alimentos beef brand. The system guarantees high standards of tenderness and fat cover with grain-finished cattle. Currently, the operation develops strategic partnerships with breeders and is advancing toward the goal of slaughtering exclusively self-bred genetics, rewarding partners and ensuring 100% traceability and origin control.

Fazenda Maragogipe is one of the greatest benchmarks of livestock pioneering in the Brazilian Midwest. In 1979, at a time when crossbreeding between Taurine and Zebu cattle was discredited in the region and throughout the country, rancher and agronomist Wilson Brochmann pioneered artificial insemination with Angus bulls, recording the birth of the first crossbred generation in the Midwest in 1980.

The consistency of its production system is based on a rigorous genetic improvement program focused on final product excellence. For 26 years, Maragogipe has been part of the DeltaGen program, meticulously selecting the Nelore dam base to produce adapted, high-performance cows. Over this foundation, a detailed selection of Angus semen evaluated by genomics, ultrasound, and carcass EPDs is applied. The focus is always on traits such as ribeye area, subcutaneous fat thickness, and marbling, ensuring uniform and highly efficient offspring.

This dedication is reflected in continuous awards won over the past 11 years at the National Carcass Contest organized by the Brazilian Angus Association. Maragogipe has established itself as a practical model of the Certified Angus Beef Program, proving the impact of heterosis, earlier slaughter age, and value addition to beef produced on tropical pastures.

Agropecuária Bio Canto, managed under the vision of veterinarian Fábio Padovani, stands out as a benchmark model in regenerative crop-livestock integration. Focused on feedlot cattle finishing for premium beef production, the farm combines high production efficiency with total sustainability through a circular economy. The system seamlessly integrates livestock production with agriculture, demonstrating how profitability and top quality can evolve in balance with the conservation and regeneration of natural resources.

The farm's main biological differentiator lies in the multiplication of TMT, developed from microorganisms captured in the leaf litter of the property's virgin forest. Cultivated in an enriched medium, this native biology is applied in agriculture to reduce pest and disease pressure, and in livestock farming, directly in the pens, to reduce flies and ammonia emissions.
